i love wondering around the eau gallie district, enjoying the fine art, wonderful shops, and now, a great repose.  anaya coffee is hospitality complete with a changing menu of fresh delights.

the day we stopped in, mike and jenny had a game of “guess the baby” going on for the customers.  that just went along perfectly with the family vibe that is prevalent.  i saw them greet people with hugs and they didn’t hesitate to strike up a conversation with us.

IMG_5004we grazed on the salads of the day “cuban bowl” and “bbq beans and spinach” and didn’t stop there.  i had to have the ham and cheese croissant as well.  as you can see from the menu listing the ingredients, it wasn’t your grandmother’s ham and cheese.  they also pick up the croissants fresh in vero.  everything else is totally created by jenny, who even does her own syrups from her own recipe and makes a most amazing chai from scratch.  of course, the coffee is outstanding.  word on the street, the french toast is not shabby either.

we sure are glad to have them in the area!  now, i’m refreshed and ready to explore some more.  maybe i’ll grab a chai for the way home.
