paradise treats

LUCY LOO

out of the way snowbirds, we’re on our way to the beach, specifically, paradise beach & park.  this is where you will find bill and his paradise treats food truck.  a lot has been written about bill, and he seems to win people’s choice in brevard again and again.  i concur.

IMG_4108the setting is wonderful too because this park on the beach off of A1A in indialantic is a perfect spot to relax and there is ample parking.  bill has some clean and attractive tables with umbrellas in the shade, away from the parking area and general walking traffic.  even on a hot spring day, there is the ocean breeze.  the perfect picnic in my book.

speaking of hot, i went for the meatball sub.  a squishy and delicious fresh roll with the pool of tomato sauce…..just had to have one and chase it with some pink lemonade.  he has enough on the menu to please everyone, and does breakfast as well.

i noticed one item i had never seen on any menu;  the sweet potato waffle fries a la mode.  never would i have thought of this combo of fries, cinnamon, topped with soft serve ice cream and caramel.  it is  fancy foodie material in a way.  i definitely had no regrets about this indulgence and pushed through, even as full as i was.

if you are passing through…..take a moment out of your day to enjoy a food break outside with a breeze and some people watching.  you’ll be more than satisfied.

vanessa too!!

IMG_4095all this sunshine is making me want to skip spring and jump right into the summer time vibe and that’s just what your going to get here at paradise treats.

perfectly placed along the walkway to the beach in paradise park it would be hard to miss this big yellow food truck and the smells coming from it…heavenly!

so many choices on the menu from corn dog bites and new york pretzels to homemade sandwiches, hamburgers and hotdogs i found it hard to decide.

my decision was a good one though, the italian sausage with onions and peppers.  served on an extra large sub roll with caramalized onions and big slices of cooked green peppers this has to be one of the best i’ve ever had.  the sausage had just enough snap and spices that it will stay in my taste memory bank for a long time….until i go back for another.

although my sandwich was more than enough for some reason the waffle fries were calling my name and i’m glad they did.  cooked to a crisp perfection and served with a side of ketchup it was just that little extra side i was looking for.

don’t pass up the sweet potato waffle fries a la mode….they are out of this world and the perfect thing to stop and have for dessert if your on your way home from any meal.  i’ll be going just for that!!

great job Bill!!  thanks for bringing such a great place beachside, literally, ya’ll!!
